On Friday July 15, 2016 Catherine D. Holmes departed this life peacefully surrounded by her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. Catherine was born on April 16, 1936 to the late Winfiled and Rosslie Watts. She was the second oldest child of fifteen children.
She was raised in Haddonfield, New Jersey as a young child. Along with her siblings and parents, she later moved to Camden, New Jersey, where she was educated in the Camden City school system. She worked many years for the Elkensin Company in Cherry Hill N.J. and the Cookie Factory in Hamilton, N.J.
She was preceded in death by: one sister, Carol D. McCants Jones, five brothers, Winfield Jr., Robert, Allen, Raymond and Arnold Watts, six sisters-in-law, Juanita, Edna, Carls, Sharon Watts, Mary McQueen and Gwendolyn Alexander.
