On Saturday, October 17, 2015, God called his daughter Yvette Rollins home to her final and eternal rest. Yvette was born on December 16, 1948 in Washington, D.C.
She graduated from the Washington, D.C. Public School System at the age of sixteen. Yvette was hired as a
personnel specialist at the Federal Trades Commission. She was the youngest to hold that position at the time.
Yvette enjoyed living a good life, she loved Jesus and her family. She enjoyed family get-togethers that allowed her to cook the most delicious meals. She was the Queen of bingo and all board games. If she didn’t make you laugh, then something was wrong with you! She was a joy to have around and she always spoke her mind.
She was faced with many hard times and difficult
challenges during her lifetime, but she relied heavily on God to carry her through.
She was predeceased by her parents, Floyd E. Rollins Sr. and Hattie Belle Rollins, her sister Eleanor Jones and two brothers Floyd Rollins Jr. and Reginald Rollins.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughter Tracie Rollins, son Vincent Harrington, her grandchildren Aaron, Tyrone, Cameron and Sean, great-grandchild Arion, three brothers; Larry (Vivian), Richard (Yvonne) and Anthony (Tina), two sisters; Celeste Washington and Vanessa Rollins, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
