Life Story for Lester "LA" Atkinson

Lester "LA" Atkinson
Lester Darnell Atkinson was one of ten children born to the late Earl and Rosalie Atkinson in Camden, New Jersey on June 18, 1953.

He departed this life on October 19, 2015. Lester was educated in Camden City School System.

Lester dedicated his life to following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. He tried to do his best in all of his endeavors.

Lester’s favorite past-times included hosting gatherings with family & friends while playing his records and oldies music. Lester also loved to train dogs, if you wanted an obedient dog, Lester was the one who could train it with perfection. His favorite pit bull dog was named Brownie. When Brownie passed away Lester was hurt & upset because Brownie was his close & best friend. Lester always loved to look nice. Whenever he got dress, he was clean and thorough, sharp as a tack. Lester was a poet and those who knew him well, all knew it.

He leaves to cherish his memories Cynthia Denise Yeldell (Niecy) mother of his only daughter Nefertiti Williams his sisters Earline Atkinson –Jones (Angelo) Patricia Atkinson – Edwards and Sylvia R. Atkinson- Williams (Earnest) 1 brother Earl Atkinson Jr. (Karen) 5 preceding him in death baby brother – Atkinson, Bertha Inez Atkinson – Jackson, Pleasant Atkinson – Anderson , Lola Mae Atkinson – Archie and Matthew Timothy Atkinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves to mourn a special friend Michelle Lee.

He will be solely missed by all who loved and knew him.
